“Doesn’t matter?” Vi plays coy, ignoring the flush creeping across Caitlyn’s cheeks to nuzzle into her neck. “How unlike you, Sheriff.” She draws the word out against pale skin, delighting in Caitlyn’s breathy exhalation.
“Tease.” It would sound like a chastisement if not for the fingers winding their way through Vi’s hair, holding her close.
Vi laughs against her skin and presses a gentle kiss to the spot just below Caitlyn’s ear. She blows gently against the lobe, feeling the way Caitlyn shudders beneath her. “You like it.”

Vi blinks as she turns her head, hand reaching for the empty spot next to her that Caitlyn occupied. It’s still warm. She tries to roll over but finds herself caught underneath something, or someone sitting on the back of her thighs.
