Shame wasn’t a part of Kaito’s nature, but here it was, a corrosive acid painted on the inside of his skin, foreign and damaging but set so deep inside that Shinichi was helpless to draw it out. He loved Kaito, but he hated the poison he carried.
It only hurt them both.
