She rolls her eyes as he threads his fingers through hers, and he twists them up lightly, a mock handshake to seal it before she can tell him ‘if’ one more time. He finishes by leaning down, and brushing his lips on the back of her knuckles.

    When his gaze meet hers to find the softest hint of a smile - there, in the crinkles right at the corner of her eyes - his stomach swoops, a sweet anticipation blooming when he realizes he just might have won.
