Summary
This wasn't the usual night sweats, no voices in their head telling them to bleed out their companions. The Urge and the tadpole were both surprisingly foggy and far away. Despite this, Genieve could not find rest. They turned to their left where Astarion laid in his trance. A shaky hand came forth to rouse him.
"Hm? Ah, darling, you look like death. Do you need me to tie you up again?"
"I fear the problem is much more mundane than that."
(Genieve gets sick and Astarion is in charge of their care.)

Astarion is always hungry, always hunting, but the mental leash around his throat is tight and suffocating. Cazador's voice lives in his skull and reminds him of every rule and compulsion he has ingrained into him. How does a man live when there is nothing inside of him that hasn't been scavenged away.

Summary
“Do you plan to fuck me tonight? Or am I to be forced to wait till morning?” He mutters, like acid on his tongue, lips curled up in annoyance. Astarion doesn’t quite know why he’s rushing him. He really does rather like the feeling of just Halsin’s lips brushing over his nape. It’s a soft, pleasant sensation, a firm kiss being pressed into his shoulder. The gentle warmth of it is enough to make Astarion shudder.
Perhaps that is the problem, after all—the point of this has certainly never been about Astarion’s enjoyment.
(Or, Halsin notices Astarion slipping away during an intimate moment.)

Having never truly known his father, Zelos never placed much value on the idea of father-son relationships. It’s impossible to ignore how close Lloyd is with his own father, though, and if Zelos wants to be part of Lloyd’s life, that means learning how to be a son- or, at least, a son-in-law. But is it really Dirk’s approval that Zelos is seeking? Or is it, perhaps, his own?
