Kaedehara Kazuha is the sole attendant of a lighthouse that once belonged under his family's name. He is trapped, metaphorically and physically, by the isolated island the lighthouse resides on and the grief of his friend's passing: He cannot leave the island, because that is where Tomo is. That is—until a certain stranger appears during the night within the chaos of storm and sea, seeking refuge from his own travails.

Summary
Time is a concept, Scaramouche thinks. A man-made cataclysm for history to repeat and rhyme like some kind of poorly constructed poem. An endless loop of similarities. They say you can’t trick somebody who knows the game— and Scaramouche has gotten the bad ending too many times to count, but lord does he want another shot.
Scaramouche squints. Perhaps Childe was onto something when he said that Scaramouche gets unreasonably philosophical when someone attractive is around him.
In which Kazuha is a competitive hockey player, and Scaramouche is the unfortunate troubled medical student whom he gets caught up with.

Summary
Two weeks ago, Albedo woke up blind and was pulled from the mountains to rest in the city. There is the expectation for his sight to improve but as he privately begins to uncover the cause of his blindness, he knows that his eyesight cannot be recovered.
What’s more, Albedo finds himself frequently in Kaeya’s care and company, leaving him vulnerable to feelings and experiences that he’s spent his whole life rejecting.
Without his sight, Albedo has to grapple with all of the ways in which his life will change — and he is so desperate for familiarity that he’s hellbent on forcing some things to stay the same.

its been a year and i still think about this
(12/31/23 edit) unironically the most impactful piece of art ive ever experienced throughout my entire life. ive spent multiple nights awake thinking about this fic. i spent a night out crying while camping with my family. my cat slept in the dryer once except he was so fat he made an audible thump that saved his life. beautiful writing and a lifetime of grief packed into a handful of thousands of words. hit me in an era of my life that i was thinking about it most.
i can never look at lighthouses the same way again -

Don’t worry Todoroki Shouto...
A voice creamy as smoke and sounding like summer evenings chimed in his head and Shouto’s eyes widened in shock, his body growing stiff. He could hear the faint drumming behind him come to a stop. Shouto had worked at a shrine his entire life, had been possessed by spirits before countless times, and yet not once had he ever felt the strain of his own belief, the power these spirits possess. His life was work, not prayer, he didn’t feel a need to acknowledge the spirits which took him over and which others cowered before. And yet the way his name was spoken just now... never in his life had Shouto ever heard a voice so utterly holy.
I’m here.
With a burst of inspiration I came up with this au where Izuku is a kami of a shrine and Shouto is the newly chosen shrine maiden. With how I have the story planned out, this is looking to be a pretty long fic so y'all best strap yourselves in this is gonna be a bumpy ride.
