It didn't matter, it wouldn't be the first time this had happened, he pulled the mask up, his skin started to bruise as the stitched mask was pulled, which was quickly healed and reinserted, the needle still under his skin.
Wade pressed harder and lifted the mask in one motion that caused the stitches to rip, the needle being pulled out of his skin,he gritted his teeth in pain before reaching up to touch his face. Only to freeze.
Wade couldn't feel it.
Wade couldn't feel anything on his face, he couldn't feel his lips.
He had no mouth.

Logan and Wade have different ways of grieving, neither of them liking the other's way of doing it.

Wade took a deep breath and squared his shoulders, reaching for the doorknob.
Fuck.
Okay.
Time to face the music.
He opened the door to their bedroom, expecting to find a passed-out Logan sprawled on the couch, maybe a bottle (or seven) of booze scattered around the floor. He figured he’d sneak past quietly and get breakfast started, wake Logan up with the promise of bacon and a truce. They’d mumble some apologies, have earth-shattering make up sex, and everything would be back to normal.
What he did not expect was an empty apartment.
Well shit.

Logan and Wade have a fight and Logan storms out. Wade starts to panic that maybe this time, he isn't coming back.(Happy ending, I promise)

Logan could hear Wade pleading into his ear from behind him. He could hear the terror right out of his voice with the way the words were waving and feeling him shaking, where he tried to press his body against his back.
“Don’t worry, bub. I won’t let them.”

Or: Wade gets kidnapped and loses his healing factor for a while, which causes his cancer to take over his body again. Logan rescues him, takes care of him and is there for him until he feels better again.

His gaze bore into Wade’s intensely and filled with heat, “I like you, Wade. A lot.”
Wade's smile dropped completely. He stared blankly at Logan, his expression unreadable. For a moment, Logan’s heart sank; he thought he’d crossed a line, that Wade would try to let him down easy with some joke.
But instead, Wade did something entirely unexpected.
He started laughing. The goddamn idiot started laughing.
Logan froze, his mouth parting slightly as he stared at Wade in disbelief. His hands remained lightly wrapped around Wade, uncertain if he should hold or let go. He didn’t know what to say or how to respond.
Eventually, the laughter died down, leaving behind an almost eerie quiet. Wade’s expression shifted, his haze turning serious and guarded. He looked at Logan, his eyes soft as he said quietly, “You don’t like me, Logan. Not like that.”
Or; The five times Logan showed Wade he loved him but Wade convinced himself otherwise and the one time Wade finally believed it.
