Summary
"Insignificant little ant." They whispered in quiet rage. "Harry Potter belongs to me alone. I have claimed him as my Master long before you decided to play god among men."
His tone was mocking and his claws slipped deeper as he tightened his power around the other.
"He has been marked from birth. You thought you could steal him away from me? Truly you have been blinded, Fate. You have forgotten who I am. Who you are." The hand tightened further and he could feel cracks begin to form along the edges. "Death ends all. Even Fate itself."
Death released them and watched them fall boneless to the floor. They scrambled for control as they tried to breathe under the weight of Death's gaze. It was the first time in millennia that another deity was reminded of the touch of Death. The cold feeling of inadequacy.

A circle with a triangle… bisected by a single line…
“The deathly hallows…” He muttered, eyes drawing closed in pained confusion as he brought a hand to his head.
“Easy…” A warm hand covered his own and he was brought back against a chest that felt hard and soft. “I brought you home… little Master. This place… I made for you. Somewhere for you to learn and decide what you want to do.” The other spoke quietly.
Harry felt his throat tighten and his eyes burn. He could feel only honesty from the other and he had never… he had never had something that was his alone. Now this person was saying this Kingdom was his alone. “Who…who are you?” He finally asked, moving closer into the offered affection.
He could feel a smile against his neck as the arms tightened gently, “I am Death and you, Hadrian James Potter, are my chosen Master.” Death said with a purr that kept slipping from innocent to protective. “You are home now.”

Summary
Death was not what Harry thought it would be. An empty train and a being proclaiming himself to be the Death, telling him that, “sorry, no afterlife for you” certainly wasn't anywhere near his expectations.
And having his soul and magic crammed back into his four year old body, being told that he can never die… That was another painful kick to the groin.
But Harry is British, and the phrase “keep calm and carry on” is practically a part of him by now. He realises that this is a second chance at life. To actually live and do whatever the hell he wants without being someone else’s pawn. It is a new beginning, and things are going to be vastly different this time around.

Harry blinked. He had to stop himself from doing something very stupid, like screaming in a public place or trying to run and plowing into a wall.
Waiting a small distance from the exit to the elevator were the absolute last people he’d wanted to see. There stood Lucius Malfoy, looking about as composed as ever, though the sheen of sweat on the edges of his brow and the way his faint smile looked like it could shatter at any moment somewhat soured the image of perfect pureblood Lord. Next to him was Fudge, whose trembling hands squeezed each other white. There was a woman beside them, he didn’t know her but her stern and monocled form reminded him of a particularly cross McGonagall.
