“Missed you,” Percy says, as a hello. He untucks his hands from his pockets, arms already open for Annabeth to duck between. Her second bag hits the ground at their feet, rustling with what he can only assume is her many books and notepads.
“You didn’t have to meet me, seaweed brain,” Annabeth replies, also as a hello. Her hold on him is tight, the stress from traveling and being with her well-meaning but still difficult family melting as soon as he gets his arm hooked around her shoulders to pull her close.
