Katsuki could barely believe this was happening. The same nightmare of arriving at school after presenting suddenly at the tender young age of 14.
The same nightmare of everyone being able to notice his scent despite them not yet presenting.
The same nightmare of his crush and once childhood best friend covering his nose as he sneered at him in disgust.
Or:
Izuku has struggled to make friends even before he presented as a prime omega; but after moving to the states after he presented and meeting his beta best friend, life hasn't been so bad. So when his childhood best friend and first crush comes back into his life, he was wholly unprepared for his feelings to rush back and even maybe be reciprocated.
