Summary
What if Light was not the one to find the Death Note that day? How would the world change with that power in the hands of someone with no desire to be a God?
Shuichi Aizawa found the notebook by chance. Though initially skeptical, Aizawa, heavily disillusioned with the way things are, decides to use the notebook to change the world in ways being a detective never could, and allow people to escape the injustices society never let them be free of, becoming the vigilante known as Kira.
But a lack of ego can only protect him for so long. Once a Second Kira appears, Aizawa is thrust into a fight for his life against the combined forces of the world’s greatest detective, L, and the brilliant son of the Police Superintendent, Light Yagami. As the deadly net begins to close in, Aizawa has to rely on his own skills and the help of his disapproving partner, Ide, to avoid capture and locate the Second Kira before the police can. But in an unexpected twist, L may prove to be the least of his problems.

Summary
Cornered in the Yellowbox Warehouse, Light manages to escape by revealing himself as the 16th Remnant of Despair and calling for help from two of his own, without a notebook but causing unimaginable losses to the members of the task force and the SPK.
As the de facto successor to Junko Enoshima and leader of both the Remnants of Despair and the misguided Warriors of Hope, it's Light's turn to play, and he is no longer playing nice. Under Light's guidance, the Remnants rapidly gain ground and cause catastrophe to tear down the world and build it anew.
As the newest members of the Future Foundation, Aizawa, Matsuda, and Near work with the killing game survivors to gather up the Remnants. When Makoto Naegi suggests a way to return Remnants to their original selves with the help of an AI version of the late Chiaki Nanami and L Lawliet, it is a method hesitantly accepted. But everything goes wrong upon Monokuma ending up in the Neo World Program.
In the end, the survivors of the Yellowbox Warehouse must confront their pasts and the dark secrets of the Future Foundation when forced into a killing game of their own.

Summary
In Japan, a brilliant yet bored student named Light Yagami finds a notebook which can turn anyone into a particular animal, with the default being doves, as long as the user knows both the target's name and face. After verifying the notebook works, Light begins to consider the possibilities of the notebook's abilities and sets out to create a utopian world without crime, which becomes extremely easy when his dove ability leads to him being mistaken for the Kami known as Hachiman.
Now, what self-respecting super genius detective would pass up the chance to engage in a battle of wits with a supposed God? Naturally, L takes this case. He doesn't know what exactly is going to happen once he catches Hachiman since turning people into doves isn't technically a crime, so his desire to find Hachiman is mostly out of curiosity and an urge to satisfy his own boredom and lack of interesting cases.
Eventually, accidental God and renown detective come face to face, initiating a chain reaction of a high stakes metaphorical chess game, a little romance, a curse, a lot of doves, and a neurotic house cat.

Summary
Bored beyond comprehension, Ryuk decides after seeing what humans do with the Death Note, to experiment with what would happen if a human lived their whole life with access and knowledge of the Death Note. This leads him to find four-month-old Light Yagami, whom he decides to use as his test subject and has a little fun.
Light's parents, as with anybody else, can't see Ryuk and thus think Light is possessed, so while trying to find answers, Soichiro turns to a young cadet for assistance taking care of his son.
Light grows up knowing he is different but rarely bored with Ryuk by his side throughout his whole life and having little interest in using the Death Note, training in Shinigami magic and learning the ways of the world instead. But things become interesting when, after multiple incidents regarding his secret, someone else with the Death Note begins using it as the mass killer known as Kira.
Add in a dumbfounded detective and a task force all aware of Light's situation and far past caring, and Ryuk knows he made the right choice because he's found plenty of entertainment, even though he has to fight the protective instinct he's developed towards Light.

Summary
L and the task force forgot one not-so-tiny detail while going through with the mock execution: blanks fired in close range are extremely dangerous. Miraculously, Light manages to survive nonetheless, but in the process loses his vision and most of his hearing.
L finds himself in a moral debate. Kira might be defeated if Light remains blind forever, but what if Light is innocent? Then shouldn't he do anything he can to help his friend recover? He doesn't know, because while Light seems innocent without memories, Kira was bound to have had a plan to recover that power.
Navigating a new life with his main motivation being a fiery rage towards Kira, Light takes advantage of every loophole he can find to assist in the case regardless of his disabilities. But as the case winds to a close and no progress has been made in his eyes healing, he begins to fear everything he had ever worked for was for nothing.
Unbeknownst to him, his plan as Kira has crashed and burned. How do you use the Death Note when you can't see someone's face? Eventually, a Shinigami will offer him the eye deal, which will repair his vision, but at the cost of half his lifespan. Will he take the deal?

Summary
Remember that fake execution in episode 17? Yeah, me too. I love that scene to death, but so many things could have gone wrong there that I have decided to point them all out. Psychological? Physical? All the torment which turns into a story of its own? Coming right up!
