Summary
Megatron has returned. The war has shifted once more towards active confrontation, Starscream is back to being his worst self, and the dark energon that saps the crew’s strength seems to be driving Megatron to entire new levels of hitherto unseen volatility.
Worst of all? Soundwave is beginning to suspect that Starscream was right: this wasn’t the cause they’d committed to so very long ago, Megatron is no longer the noblesparked mech he once called friend, and nothing about their situation is even remotely sustainable.
Caught between gentle memories of the past and the cruel reality of the present, Soundwave must decide what's truly important to him: a mech he no longer recognizes but wishes to save or a future for himself and Laserbeak he's willfully avoided considering.
