“It’s not nice to tease,” Chakotay chided, slipping the text out of Kathryn’s hands and putting it on top of the books beside her head, stepping into her space, her now free hands coming to rest on his chest, fingers tracing the patterns on his vest. “How would you like it if I teased you?”
“Impossible to say until I’ve experienced it,” she replied, her voice dipping even lower than usual, one of her nails dragging over the argyle of his vest, sending electric sparks across his skin.

She was furious with Chakotay, and four months had done nothing to temper it when she opened her door to find him standing there, drenched from the rain, like some kind of Byronic hero. There was some new grey in his hair, and it only added to her anger that she noticed it. She stood deliberately in the doorway, arms folded over her chest, her body blocking him from getting in.
"What do you want?" She asked, blunt, just like the admiral when she had casually informed her of Chakotay's mid-life crisis of a relationship with Seven.

The incident that stranded Voyager in the Delta Quadrant did not happen the way history remembers it. Instead, Voyager is destroyed and a handful of the crew are transported aboard the Maquis ship Van Jean. Having lost most of her crew and her ship, Captain Kathryn Janeway finds herself stranded seventy-five thousand light-years from home surrounded by the Federation's most wanted, lead by a dangerous man named Chakotay.
