Despite the chaos that his life had descended into after his parents’ death - or perhaps because of it - Bradley had always found solace in the monastery’s ways. He’d planned on taking a novitiate vow for a while.
Or, at least, he had planned on it until he’d been dropped into the job of caring for four children while their older brother served in the military.
It didn’t sound too hard, all things considered. But Captain Jake Seresin was annoying him, and perhaps it wasn’t going to be quite so entertaining after all.
