Accompanying Lord Morax to meet the other Archons was an honor given to the best of Rex Lapis's Adepti, so of course Xiao accepts when he's chosen. He might regret it once there, just slightly, but he just needs to keep it together until the meeting ends, then he can go home and forget everything about the event. That is what he would have done, had he not been followed by a god with big white wings and a bigger heart.
A warrior with the duty to slaughter and a gentle bard-god don't seem to have a lot in common, but somehow, they both end up being just what the other needs.

Aether gets tired of working, but finds himself unable to say no. Actually, he can't say a thing at all. Paimon seems to care more about mora than her friend's condition, although she mostly seemed to oblivious to the fact that he was ill and had gone non-verbal before that. A bland trip to the tavern led Aether to run into his dear boyfriend Venti, who quickly seems to notice something's off and takes care of Aether while he can't really take care of himself.

Nedzu adds Izuku to a group chat in hopes for some good old chaos and gets exactly that. Now Izuku has to deal with the repercussions. They aren’t necisarrly bad, he now just has a whole bunch of heroes who would kill for him. And a few that have basically adopted him.
