“Hmm…” Bam rifles through a small bag of gemstones tied to his waist. He’s sure he had one somewhere…ah. There it is. He pulls it out.
Wangnan’s eyes widen. “Blue tourmaline?! Where did you get that from?”
“I may or may not have stolen it from Hansung.”
“You had a death wish?”
“The delivery dropped off his order of coffee and he used my open room to store it. I’m never going to get the smell out,” Bam grumbles. “He owes me this much.”

Summary
Unlike how the story books that described the characters near death moments, were illustrated to feel slow with life flashing through your eyes. As fast as somebody could blow out a candle, as fast you can ring a bell, or shoot an arrow. Khun rang his head down low, looking at his shadow.
The church's bell started ringing.

Khun was to be executed for breaking rules and staining the Khun family nobility. Somehow he was miraculously saved by a cloaked figure.

Summary
Something worth struggling for.
Khun Aguero Agnis wondered if there even was such a thing. Then, Bam offered him friendship. They grew up together and he found his purpose in taking care of Bam.
Khun was content supporting Bam but was helplessly getting dragged along to his pace. Because Bam wanted more of his attention, more of his affection. And Khun, though reluctant, was all too willing to give.
And then before Khun knew it, he was hopelessly in love.
