Summary
Sunflowers represent a long life and lasting happiness. Or do they?
When you get chocked by your soul mark slowly through the years, choking on yellow petals, does the sunflower still represent a long life?
Altaïr was born with a seed on his chest, over the years it slowly spread and every time it did he would cough up yellow petals covered in blood.
Desmond was born with a flower bush around his throat, taking the air from his longs every now and again. Sometimes so bad he ends up in the hospital covered in yellow petals covered in blood, with no answers for the doctors.
Soulmates are bound by a mark, but sometimes that mark can kill.This is based on an idea I had which incorporated the Hanahaki Disease and soul mates/marks. This is why it is called Sunflower, because I have named it The Sunflower AU because of what a sunflower represents (when I google it) and how I feel it can attribute to a lot of hurt/comfort with the meanings one cet with all the flowers that can be used in the AU.

Summary
Altaïr was born with a gift, and a curse. He was blessed with the gift of sigt, a vision unlike any other, and he was cursed with a world in black.
At another point in time, Desmond is born with the same gift and the same curse.
Something connects them, something beyond their bloodline.

Draco can think of only one way to outclass his pleat-front-khaki-wearing politician ex, and that’s by making headlines with an obvious upgrade. And who better to upstage the cheating bastard than the Saviour of the World, Harry Potter himself? Sure, Potter is a little rough around the edges in ripped jeans, a rumpled tartan shirt, and a permanent scowl. Draco reckons a haircut and a shave wouldn’t hurt, either. But Potter is also in need of a Healer willing to keep his secrets, and Draco is just the man for the job. It’s a perfectly reasonable exchange. They need only attend a couple parties arm-in-arm, smile nicely for the paparazzi, and tolerate each other long enough to convince everyone they’re smitten. In return, Draco will keep Potter alive and in one piece.
But it isn’t long before Draco realises he might be in over his head, because Potter is ten tonnes of trouble packed into a leather jacket, and seems keen on hurtling himself towards death on the back of a flying motorbike. And that says nothing of Potter’s penchant for fire-breathing beasts and things that bite.
Ah well, at least they’ll have some fun while it lasts. After all, Draco always did like a bit of danger.

Summary
Around the time most young children's do, Harry's hair goes from his father's dark locks to his mother's bright, most-likely-magical red hair. It changes everything about who Harry identifies with, who he wants to grow up to be, and who he thinks he is. Instead of having James Potter as his idol, Lily Potter turns out to be a much better influence.
So instead of seeing a scruffy, most-likely-a-muggleborn boy standing beside him in Madam Malkin's before their first year, Draco only has eyes for the scarlet haired, green-eyed creature who just walked into his life and instead of an enemy, he finds a reason to be better than he'd been raised to be. Not that Harry will ever notice, given he's trying to simply survive at Hogwarts.
And Severus might not make it to see these boys graduate when his heart kept giving out seeing his very-Slytherin godson repeat his own history and go chasing after a green-eyed, red-haired Gryffindor.
Turns out the Malfoys aren't that bad and Dumbledore definitely is. Remus is at his wit's end and Sirius gets a chance to actually live up to his title as Harry's dogfather. Tom Riddle is not prepared for any of this.
