The Wang Can case should have been an easy one. They have a body. They have a clear cause of death. They have a murder weapon complete with fingerprints. They have an intact scene, a tentative timeline of events, more camera footage than they know what to do with, a phone that might well belong to the perpetrator, and even a witness statement. Summary
Arthur, Merlin, and the Knights of the Round Table must travel to the Isle of Mona, invited by the eccentric royal family to help teach Arthur about governing a kingdom where magic is a free practice. As a condition of Morgana's surrender the ban was lifted in Camelot and Arthur asked Merlin to learn magic so he had someone he could trust to help him govern. Merlin has been playing the struggling apprentice for months, learning everything he can and pretending not to already know it all.
However, when they land in Mona, all the magic users recognize Emrys and treat him as such. Merlin is forced to confess all to his king and the knights, who agree that until the treaty is signed and they return home, they are going to have to act as if this is all normal. Cue shenanigans, tournaments, worshipers, and more secrets than Arthur knows how to deal with.
The story is a slow burn and a lot is going on, Merlin is polyamorous and Arthur decides he can live with that. This is my first long story, I will try to update often, let me know how I am doing!- Language:
