Summary
Evandrin is different. Zerxus, while hyperaware of Evandrin's mannerisms and habits, did not need to be observant to tell that something was deeply wrong with his husband. And while the Ring of Brass tries to figure out what's wrong with their beloved leader, Evandrin, recently returned to the Age of Arcanum from over a millennia in the future, is trying to save his family from themselves, while also trying to navigate the repercussions of time travels effects on his mind.

Hawke's been wandering the Fade for a bit (actually, it's longer than a bit) when he hears something new. He finds a baby griffon defending something in a mess of Blight. And then they - all three of them - get knocked straight out of the Fade by an explosion.
So - he didn't rescue an ancient Warden and griffon who'd been trapped since the Exalted Age. It's actually 9:52 and elven gods are ending the world.
Well...shit.
