    "I will fight you." She said, something burning in her chest as she glared at him.

    "You're adorable." he said, getting his laughter under control.

    "I *will* fight you, and I will win." Her scowl deepened as she glared into the lenses of his helmet.

    "I appreciate the threat," he quipped back, voice filled with mirth, "but no offense, you look about as dangerous as a feather duster." Face still bright red and heart still pounding painfully, Marinette's eyes narrowed. Then, she smiled sweetly.

    "I take full offense and I will make you *eat* those words." She said with the full confidence of a Ladybug.

    "Uh huh. And how exactly are you going to do that?" Hood said teasingly, sounding as if he were just entertaining her. Her only response was to grin toothily, tip forward, and then fall.

    O’Donnell didn’t miss a beat, curling his fingers around the familiar weight of his knuckleduster and slamming a roundhouse into the bastard’s cheek and throwing his weight off enough to flip them over to where O’Donnell was on top.
    O’Donnell hammered another punch, before sitting more upright to grab with his free hand at the knife tucked in his boot.
    A sharp stab of pain, accompanied by a dull impact against his abdomen caused O’Donnell to look down. A frankly worryingly massive knife was plunged into his gut, just the handle visible — at least before the man yanked it out again and the blood started to pour.

    Isaac didn’t know if he would survive the night now that he had lost a good twenty-minute advantage to admire his failure at the nemeton. Not with a flying alien monster and a throng of angry villagers and their treacherous bitch psycho leader. The worse thing is that he couldn’t take his eyes off the grotesque invocation and run away. He fell on his knees, crying, although he didn’t really know why. Inner wolf was howling. Isaac knew it was worse than frustration: he was crying out of pure impotence and despair. Why at this point he could only think of Scott was beyond him and, really, by this stage, he didn’t give a fuck.

     

    Everyone has gone to college. Everything is going well. Everyone has forgotten about Isaac going to France. But Isaac has not forgotten his pack, his friends, and his alpha. When things get troublesome in France, Isaac needs to contact and warn his old pack in Beacon Hills, even if they don't care about him any more -- he still does.
