Summary
100 years pass in the First between the cessation of the Flood and the arrival of the Warriors of Darkness, and on the 8th of those years, a mysterious tower appears in Lakeland. A lone man within carries with him the hopes and dreams of a doomed reality, and as he strives to learn more of this strange world he has found himself in, he makes contact with a woman who sacrificed everything to buy the heroes of her homeland enough time to save everyone.

At least not so soon. If only he had known what would come after this night. If only the echo had given her the gift of witnessing future memories of events yet to come, already written in the selfsame stars blanketing them now across the dark, endless expanse of the heavens above them. Mayhap the news she was about to find out in just two moons time would have made it all end differently.
