The guy is insufferable!” she exclaimed, though her words were quickly followed by a slight wince, knowing her best friend was quite the fan of Hotguy’s, “Sorry Mumbo—But, I have Skizz!” Grian argued with him, desperate to find any loophole to get out of Hotguy being her bodyguard. “Surely that’s good enough, yeah?”
Impulse frowned, “Ariana Griande doesn’t need a bodyguard, are you crazy Grian?” He lifted a disbelieving brow. “You’ve got people trying to climb over the barricades to get to you twenty four seven. The extra protection really wouldn’t hurt.”
“Skizz is also head of security,” Mumbo pointed out. “He can’t keep a constant eye out for you, er, despite how much he may try to…” he trailed off. “But Hotguy can, and he will.”
After being rescued by Hotguy during a concert, Ariana Griande finds herself with a brand new bodyguard. Her managers and Hotguy himself seem thrilled about the turn of events. She, however, is not.

Summary
Near her twenty-one birthday, Shuri von Neuschwanstein finds herself backed into a corner. For unknown reasons, her stepson keeps postponing his marriage, which can only give people something to talk about. The blame is soon assigned to the one person who would benefit the most out of this situation: the greedy Marchioness of Neuschwanstein.
Worse still, not only do they fault her for it, but some even try to use this opening to further weaken the House of Neuschwanstein from within and gain control over it.
Shuri has played this game before — back when she was barely sixteen and terrified out of her mind. She thwarted them all once. But this time, she fears it might not be enough. This time, she realizes that, unlike in the past, she will need someone not only trustworthy, but also powerful enough to help her scare them off.
It's fortunate, then, that Nora von Nuremberg, the notorious noble heir who disobeyed his family to become an agent for the Secret Police Force, seems more than willing to lend her a hand.

She was alive. She was alive, and it was a gift, and still, a spike of panic tore through her chest, followed by a surge of grief so strong that she almost forgot how to breathe again. Maya curled in on herself, hiding her face against her hands and gasping over and over “No, please, no no no…”
Apparently the voice was not done with her yet, as suspiciously familiar laughter rang in her ears. Silly girl. That wouldn’t be much of a reward, would it?
