The door creaked open. A redheaded woman wearing a long-sleeved grey dress and uncomfortably high heels stepped in.
Oh thank goodness. Sienna relaxed, hoping the change in her posture wasn’t visible.
‘Hey, babe,’ said Mr Davis. So she’s one of his girlfriends.
‘Hey.’
The woman’s smile was the most seductive Sienna had ever seen. I see why she’s his ‘babe’.

Ten minutes later, Sienna was back by the woman’s side, the documents traded for a first-aid kit stolen from Legal’s pantry. The woman had not moved.
‘You’re back.’ It was barely audible.
Sienna’s heart clenched. ‘Yes. I am.’ She could tell that trust was absent from the woman’s life. She sat and wrapped an arm around the woman. ‘I’ll stay with you, OK?’ She couldn’t keep the tremble from her voice.Series
