Geralt narrows his eyes, hums, says, “Fine with just the coin.”
“I promise you would not be disappointed. You’d have all the amenities. A bath, food, lodgings for the evening. And of course the company of whichever individual you might desire.”
Geralt almost says no. It would be so much effort, to go to the brothel, to have someone picked out for him, to do the song and dance of what everyone always expects from him. But the free food and bath is enticing, and he’d be a fucking idiot to turn down a free fuck. “Sure,” he mutters. “So long as it’s free.”

Later on, looking back on it all, Jaskier isn’t quite sure how it got so out of hand. It all seemed so natural at the time.
The first time is a misunderstanding. An innkeeper assumes he is travelling with his wife, and not a grumpy witcher. Apparently, Jaskier just seems like someone with a wife. And it seems easier to go along with it.
