Summary
There are few things sweeter in life than chasing down what you want and getting it. Davrin isn’t usually one for slow seduction; rather, he likes to make his intentions known, so his quarry has just enough time to anticipate him before he pounces. Thrill of the chase, and all of that.
He knows, though, that sometimes you can’t chase something down. Sometimes, you have to lay a trap and wait.

Summary
Lucanis tried to recall how exactly he had ended up here.
*Here* being sandwiched between Rook and Emmrich, the two mages taking turns kissing the side of his neck and throat, the collar of his meticulously ironed shirt unbuttoned and now wrinkled. A whine lodged in his throat when Rook sucked a mark over his collarbone, his clever fingers quickly working over the rest of the buttons on Lucanis’ vest and shirt, while Emmrich ran a hand down his flank, his thumb rubbing soothing circles over his hipbone.

Summary
It starts with a piece of furniture appearing spontaneously in her office. A bedframe.
Neve knew her sleeping situation was poor— a cot taken from the store rooms and a bedroll thrown on top. Not comfortable, by any means, but sufficient enough to get the job done. Davrin had once commented the cot was identical to the ones in the Weisshaupt infirmary, and that he only slept well on those when he was concussed or gravely injured. Thus, it made him the likely culprit of the bedframe (and subsequent mattress). Part of her wasn’t surprised upon learning it wasn’t him; he received the scraps of wood leftover from the project for his own hobby of carving, but he hadn’t made it, and he didn’t know who did either. The Caretaker simply delivered it to him and left without much fanfare.
Only when Neve passed off a casual question to Harding did the answer reveal itself.
Rook made it.
