“Hello?”
He calls out into the darkness. It’s quiet again. He can’t even hear any of the usual sounds of the forest, and it"s maddening. Another snap and Jonathan quickly turns to the noise. He’d seen enough horror movies to know nothing good would come of going towards it. He’s careful to not step on any branches as he walks in the opposite direction. He hears a low animalistic growl, and it seems to be getting closer and closer with every step he takes away from it. He decides to make a break for it, but as he turns he feels the sensation of hands on his throat.
