Summary
Today started like any other day, with the nagging, persistent feeling that I am forgetting something. If our core- if the real Elliot- knows what’s missing, he’s not telling. Whatever the case, he’s off in his own little world today. Not the saccharine world of pleasant lies I built for him, but the more generally reality-based world of our shared headspace. He hasn’t come out all day. And while I normally enjoy the few hours I’m allowed to be in control, I don’t trust it. Good things don’t come without conditions.
