Summary
Derek is about to leave, content with the smell of blood as proof that the Fury is dead when he hears it.
A heartbeat.
It’s faint and uneven and even with its help, it takes Derek a full minute of scanning the clearing before he finally spots the small heap that must be the human. It’s down on the far side of the canyon, almost completely hidden by a tall oak tree and–Derek jumps down before he thinks about it.
He knows what he has to do. Furies are dangerous. Furies are fire and smoke and a funeral he barely remembers. He lands almost silently and makes sure his hands are fully shifted into claws and then slowly moves forward.

Summary
“Me,” Kakashi clarified, raising an eyebrow.
“That’s why you’re in my office, Kakashi,” Tsunade rolled her eyes. "The A-rank mission I’m giving you is to train her.”
She’d fallen so far behind him that the only possible result of them training together was her absolute, utter humiliation. Ashikiri glanced at Kakashi, who had already been studying her. Her heartbeat jumped in panic, and she immediately dropped her gaze to the floor. Of course he was studying her; he had to see what he was teaching. She was his new problem to solve.
---
Ashikiri had been kidnapped by Orochimaru three years ago, and his experiments resulted in her ability to transform into a wolf. The Inuzuka clan is busy, so Tsunade assigns Kakashi (Ashikiri's childhood crush) to retrain her.Bookmarked by TheShortMuffin07

Summary
Newly assigned teacher for the Academy is the infamous chunin, Amazaki Narumi. She has survived where many haven't, and now she's in the Academy to pass on her skills to the kids that will- unknown to her- one day become her own.
A side dish of romance, lots of parental fluff and training regimes from hell. The teaching galore.

Summary
Maybe the fate of Uchiha Itachi and the Uchiha Clan could have been changed if Itachi had just had one more family member he could trust -- someone as powerful, invested in Konoha, and devoted to the clan as him. Someone with a little extra knowledge up her sleeve.
Unfortunately for Itachi, the Uchiha's abysmal luck with siblings has given him... Kaeru.

there’s so much nuance i feel like i’m missing when reading this story 😭. but those are honestly the best stories, i don’t know if i can reread this again anytime soon but it was too beautifully written and so incredibly fleshed out and portrayed; i physically can’t let this go un-bookmarked.
this story really made me hate the uchiha’s but i think it’s also one of the few times i’ve genuinely deeply disliked konoha as a whole and wished that it didn’t end so happily for them.
the scene itachi is giving the report about the massacre and the line about almost everyone in the room knowing the truth and still trying to drive the remaining uchiha out? to have control over the only malleable child left? this entire story was in shades of gray. not even mentioning the symbolism of the crows vs. the doves and what that all means in relation to the absolute dumpster fire of a plot line being followed.
