Summary
Hiccup, son of popular Victor Stoick "The Vast" Haddock, doesn't have a lot going for him in District Four, so it's an easy decision to volunteer to save Snotlout's life when he's reaped for the Hunger Games. He's accepted his death, and figures his best strategy is to make it as painless as possible. After all, there's no hope when he's going into the arena with Astrid Hofferson, who's hated him since childhood, and the two frightening siblings from District Two that seem intent on killing him the first chance they get.
