Four friends, tossed into an unfamiliar world for reasons unknown.
Oceanus is one seriously messed up place. With simmering tensions between nations on the rise, vicious pirates that’d slit your throat as soon as look at you, mysterious sea-dwellers that might drag you to the depths, never-ending storms that wander across the ocean, and a bloodthirsty empire that wants to subjugate the whole world in the name of their Goddess, finding a nice, quiet spot to call your own is no easy feat. Even the islands don't sit still for long, sprouting from the backs of enormous sea turtles, massive whales, and colossal crabs, just to name a few. And on top of all that, High Society drifts above the clouds in their fancy floating cities, living the high life while treating the surface like their own personal all-you-can-eat buffet.
So what can one lone catgirl do about all that?
I dunno. Let’s go fishing!

Summary
Every morning Daelyra Targaryen wakes up and chooses violence. (Figuratively, at least.)
It might be because she’s Daemon Targaryen’s daughter. It might be because her soul is from another world. It might be because her dragon blood runs hotter than most, and that means more than she knew it could. It might be because the dragon that chose her is the most vicious of them all. It might be because she's a woman on a mission.
So many might-be’s, but one thing is certain: she wasn’t meant to exist and the sole fact that she does was enough to knock the world ever so slightly off its axis. Why not change it further?
Or: Targaryens really aren’t human and expecting them to conform to human standards rarely ends well. And sometimes an unhinged woman with an unhinged dragon is all the world needs to prevent a disaster long in the making.

Summary
When a celestial body forms, its soul manifests as a dragon, and seeks out the nearest inhabited planet to hunt upon. The moon dragon's power is cataclysmic on Earth, as she draws her strength from the gravitational force which creates the ocean’s tides.
Thousands of years ago, a violent king cursed a fragment of the moon; anyone who held it had the dragon’s perfect obedience. The king used her as a weapon, destroying countless lives in his conquests.
After the king’s death, his heir decided such a weapon was inhumane for war, but too valuable to relinquish; The dragon was commanded to remain in her prison beneath the kingdom forever.
Enraged, she began to kill any human who entered her cell. Rather than command her to stop, the royal family found her to be an efficient executioner, and an effective threat to dissenters.
When Lyra is sent into the dragon’s cell, fear conflicts with empathy, as both have suffered at the same hands.
