The thing about Jason is… he’s got baggage. Like, a metaphorical truckload of baggage.
That’s not to say that Roy doesn’t have his own baggage. But the difference is… Roy’s baggage is because Roy is, unequivocally, an idiot. He’s brought ninety-percent of his problems on himself, and he will both acknowledge and admit that.
Jason, however…
Well, that’s a different story. And one that Roy is trying his best to follow along with, to pick up the little hints and clues in a desperate attempt to get to the end of the book.
Roy’s problems are because Roy’s an idiot. Jason’s problems are because people are cruel, violent, and generally overall pieces of shit.
