Yum-Yum put the book aside. In one fluid motion, she stood up and, grabbing Tack’s hand, pulled him up and out of the room. Their fingers naturally intertwined, putting a smile on her face. Her smile widened as a couple strands of hair from her unfinished braid tickled her cheek.
As they ate, she noticed how her husband began braiding some loose strings from the table cover, but thought nothing of it.

Kyoka looked up at Kaminari and smirked. He had that stupid grin on his face, looking more confident than half an hour ago. (And kind of cute, not that she’d ever tell him.) “What are you, a masochist? I think I’ve lost count of how many times I beat your ass.”
Beside him, Sero snickered. Kaminari shot him a glare, and without a word, he pulled the chair across from her and sat down. He placed his elbow on the desk with his hand aimed towards her in an unspoken challenge.
Well, Kyoka was never one to back down from a challenge, even one as stupid as this.

Zeff feels something hot twist deep inside himself. He's — he's insulted by this, in a way he isn't expecting. "What — Sanji? You think that I —"
"I know you do!" The cook twists his wrist and tried to break Zeff’s hold, tries to surge forward as if he could go after Zeff with his teeth. "Kids don't learn to fucking flinch like that and hide like that for no reason."
A newly-hired cook on the Baratie draws some incorrect conclusions. Zeff sets him straight.

They wouldn’t be able to catch him if they couldn’t find him! And where would the Navy never look? Another platoon marched past the alleyway, the final patsy in the back was just Buggy’s size.
