As the two meet and come to terms with their SOULless selves, they realize that a choice has to be made: do they risk hurting their friends and family once more, or do they accept a fate of eternal isolation?

Summary

He peeked at Iori for a moment, taking her in. Ei had a habit of constantly projecting a mental image of her smile, but every time he saw it again in reality it always found a new way to surprise him.
The itch of Sekigahara wasn’t far from his mind either.
Ei settles into his new life as a mechanic for the colony, but catches himself pondering the phantom he left behind. Iori emphasizes. The two have much to sort out.

Even in surveying their new home, Gouto remains as meticulous as ever. He'll leave nothing unresolved. Especially Ryoko, who has been wandering aimlessly for awhile now. He decides it's time for him to remind her who she was -- not just what her reflection in the pond water tells her.
