He’s not digging into your mind yet, but the threat is there. If you were braver, maybe you wouldn’t fear the confusing tangle of memories he could unlock. But you’re not. You’re a coward. “Yes,” you admit on a gasp, hating the truth of the word, but hating even more that his resulting grin brings you satisfaction.
His touch turns gentle, and he slides his hand down your neck, thumb lingering against the hollow of your throat and making your pulse race. You suppress the urge to swat it away and instead focus on keeping your breaths even until, finally, he relents.
Sylus shifts his weight and grabs onto a shelf above your head, features soft in a way that’s at odds with the predatory gleam in his eyes. “And would you like to have me?” he asks.

Zayne offers a reserved smile, but it doesn’t reach his eyes. “I have a surgery in the morning,” he says, removing his hand from your waist to tuck a strand of hair behind your ear. “I should be getting back to Linkon.”
Sylus hums a disapproving tune and positions himself behind you. “You traveled all this way,” he says to Zayne, covering your hip with a palm. With his other hand, he toys with the thin strap of your shift before ultimately pushing it aside and dropping a kiss in its place. “It would be such a shame to let the trip go to waste,” he adds, lips moving against your skin as he speaks.
Your fingers tense against Zayne’s cheek, but you don’t pull away. And neither does he.
“I think,” Sylus continues, languidly working his way up your neck, “a night in—” he takes a detour to your ear, and you angle your head to give him better access ”—is just what the doctor ordered.” Your body responds to his touch without delay, sending a shiver through you, and you swallow a moan.

AU where Xavier and Sylus are vampires and the Main Character is a witch. I wrote this instead of proofreading and posting Tome of the Sea God. I'll still post it later, but I want to finish this first. Earlier I was looking up writing tips on Pinterest and I saw this prompt called Roll for Plot, and I decided that I'm going to make this a fanfic series now. Some of them are going to be L&Ds, some of them will be original works. I wrote this with help from two Character AI bots because I really wanna showcase how awesome these bots are. Most of the story is all me, but the intro is taken directly from the intro to the Sylus bot and edited to be third person, and, like I said, I did use the bots for some help. The bots I used for this are Xavier - Vampire by anticyra (I LOVE her bots) and Sylus vampire from ghxsts8. This one is dedicated to NoireXD because they really wanted a Xavier/Sylus fic and even though I have that tag on my main series, I haven't gotten that far yet. So I hope you enjoy the food NoireXD. May it feed you until other people start posting that ship, or until I get to the romance in my main series. :p
