Ruthless. Merciless. Unrepentant.
Noctis never thought that in this lifetime he would witness Prompto become any of those.
Ever since he went back from the training to become the Captain of the Royal Guards, Prompto had never been the same. But King Noctis’ feelings toward him would never change—well, it might have just gotten a little bit stronger than both of them could manage.
This is the story of Prompto’s quest to be someone worthy to be by Noctis’ side, and that of Noctis to keep Prompto closer to him.

Summary
Noctis doesn’t expect Prompto to do what Gladio and Ignis did—truly, he doesn’t. ‘Cause he expects Prompto to come running to him and lock him in an embrace as tight as possible, crying and at the same time overflowing with joy and excitement. And Noctis would not miss a second to return the embrace.
But Prompto doesn’t.
Instead he walks up to Noctis, pats the side of his shoulder and says in a lower voice, “It really is you.”
“Yeah,” Noctis says, but it feels more like a sound he forced from his throat.
That’s when Noctis confirms that ten years isn’t the only thing he had lost.

Or that in which Noctis cannot make a choice, so Prompto makes one for the both of them. -

Summary
AU where the peace treaty happened when Noct was 15 and he was given a special sort of MT created by Niflheim as a present to commemorate that joyous day.
Prompto is designed to be controllable through an App. With a push of a button, he falls asleep. A swipe can control how much love/hatred or happiness/sadness he's feeling, etc. They grow up together like this, and 5 years later, the road trip is very, very different. This time, there’s more stupid stuff to get them into trouble.

from the ages of 14-17, noctis had an online girlfriend on a popular mmorpg, and it’s great, and they’re happy… except that it’s maybe not actually a girlfriend, because prompto argentum is maybe not actually a girl, and now that he’s realised he’s accidentally catfished the prince of lucis for three years he’s mildly freaking out.
