Summary
Humans let go of the use of technology after the final battle that was known between Gaia's Savior and an entity that most records erased the name of. Some hundreds of years or so later, Cloud is born with strange nightmares haunting him. And yet he can't remember them once he woke up.
Cloud used to be content with this mystery until some cult gave word of having their "prophet" making their first public debut after a decade of hiding since the discovery. Things only get haywire from there. And Cloud somehow has to evade a worldwide power, processing the nightmares, with this so called prophet who is actually insufferable while they're on the run. Cloud should have really thought through his impulsiveness.

The weight of his actions, the blood of men and dragons alike, slows him to a stop right before the 'finishline'.
He could, no, he should accept his promotion, and finally buy an estate for his mother. He should. He really, really should.But the promotion has started to feel less like a reward for his good work, and more like the blade of a guillotine, looming high above.
Is this really what he is meant to do with his life?
