Summary
Caitlyn Kiramman is an instructor, principal dancer, and on the board of shareholders at Piltover School of Dance, a renowned dance academy owned by her parents. She's spent her whole life training, working, and doing everything right, but something has changed. Her love for contemporary dance and traditional form is failing, and she's willing to try anything to rekindle her love for dance.
Vi is a coach and soloist at Lanes Academy, a nonprofit urban dance collective dedicated to bringing art to the streets of the Undercity. Summary
It was to be Caitlyn’s first real test in years - the first instance in which she’d be alone, and the disease could have its way with her with all the temptation that she could shake a stick at. Caitlyn talked her out of cancelling her jobs over dinner one night in July, with a cute scowl on Vi’s face and a defiant edge to her pushing pasta around on her plate.
“It’s not for that long,” Caitlyn said, “I can hold out a week.”
“It’s fucking stupid, is what it is,” Vi replied, “I can’t believe they’d send you. They know why you needed time off.”

It wasn’t this moment of lucidity, a thunderstrike of passion and feeling that overcame her senses and pointed her home. If anything, it was understated, quiet, a simple pleasure.
