“The fuck?” Ed manages, instantly getting his foot stuck in a nearby bucket.
“Sh-shh!” Stede pushes two fingers against his lips to shut him up.
Ed goes still and a bit cross-eyed, staring down at the hand on his mouth. Stede moves it away, with a mouthed “sorry!” focusing intently on the sounds outside the shed instead.
In the alley, hurried steps and shouting voices rush past; they catch fragments of: “Where the fuck did they go then?” or “Keep looking!” and even “The short one looks like a bloody birthday cake, how do you lose that—”

I spent most of my workday sneakily reading this cause I physically couldn't stop
It's so GOOD
It has literally everything I ever wanted of a "Season 2 getting back together" fic (though by that I mean not the angst but more of the crew's feelings, especially Oluwande, Jim, Pete and Lucius who you nailed especially (and also he's SUCH A FUCKING MOOD))
I have no choice really otherwise than to declare this my favorite OFMD fic and patiently wait for the next update
And, well, be prepared that some girl with the same handle will come screaming at you on Twitter as well?? -

Summary
Stede sits down to read his nightly bedtime story to the crew of the Revenge, only to discover that Lucius has saddled him with a particularly trashy novel in which a gentleman and a pirate begin a hot and heavy romance. Ed has been on board for several weeks, and everyone is sick of the slow burn and apparently ready to shove them down the path to a real romance by whatever means they can.
As Stede reads (and tries to work out who the author of the story might be), they'll bicker their way through romance tropes, story structures, and what it means to have a happy ending. And if by the end of this night Edward Teach isn't in Stede Bonnet's bed, Lucius will probably have to eat his match-making hat...
