Wriothesley loved drag racing — sure, it wasn't the most legal of his activities, but it was fun. Exhilarating.
Lyney simply loved supporting his siblings. Even if that meant being dragged to race after race, seeing Freminet's smile as he worked on cars was more than worth it.
Neither of them expected Lyney — a magician and member of not-so-esteemed night club, "The House of the Hearth" — to be the next flag boy. Certainly, neither of them expected their eyes to lock, and a sudden attraction to draw them together.
Archons forbid, Wriothesley would keep winning. If not for himself, then for the pretty-eyed magician standing at the end of the finish line.

“Fit,” Pac repeated, savoring the taste of it on his tongue. He took the offered hand, and gently lifted it. A soft gasp escaped the widow as a kiss was pressed to his knuckles. The metal of the ring burned Pac’s cheek where they brushed together. “I am Detective Pac. My sincere condolences.”

There’s a strange man lying on the beach. He looks like he’s resting—which is, honestly, pretty stupid considering the lack of armour, apparent lack of weapons, and the standard issue shitty-looking prosthetic leg that can’t be any good for fighting. It took Fit ages just to relearn his arm, and his arm is advanced.
This has to be a trap. There’s no way a guy like this would make it out of Spawn with what little he has on him.
