Can’t say I’m in the habit of jumping into bed with acquaintances, and besides, my intuition tells me you’re after something other than a quick roll in the hay.” Gale flashed a contrite little grin, motioned to offer Astarion a sportsmanlike clap on the shoulder, then thought better of it. “No offense, of course, but a man of my intellect isn’t going to fall for a simple ploy like that.”
Astarion’s expression settled into an alarming rictus of forced nonchalance. “Oh, please, darling, did you think I was serious?"
Inspired by a post from tumblr user baldurspeen69420; I, too, believe the most hilarious possible Gale-Astarion dynamic is Astarion genuinely shooting his shot, fumbling catastrophically, and then fuming for the next one and a half acts while trying to pretend he doesn't care.
