    And suddenly, Tubbo got it. He finally could understand the reason for committing crimes horrendous enough to have warranted tossing his entire bloodline into the Pit. He wasn’t much for family anymore, but he could feel his ancestors’ blood boiling in his veins. Wither and die, he thought, and though he did not have his great-grandmother’s powers, he thought he could probably work something out.

    If the so called superheroes weren't going to save Tubbo's friend, Tubbo would rip the city apart looking for him himself. (With some help from Ranboo.)

    It had been Tommy and Tubbo for practically forever. They clawed their way out of hell together. They discovered their superpowers together. They started working for the Superhero Guild together before even coming of age. Tommy probably owed Tubbo his life ten times over. So, when the three supervillains he'd been assigned to bring in managed to take Tubbo hostage, well, there was really only one thing to do.

    He knew, of course, he was signing himself up for torture and death by offering that trade, but that was okay.

    It'd have to be okay.

    Tommy was only there for what seemed like a short while, but as a dog time always flew faster.

    He learned the schedules of every worker there, even their names. There was nothing to do in the small kennel he was given other than store away random information about every person who walked by.

    He didn’t know why, but everyone said he looked creepy. Once, one of the workers said it could be due to his bright blue eyes, which were fairly rare to see on a dog of his breed, apparently. Another time, a worker said he ‘looks like he knows too much’.

    Tommy didn’t think they would ever realize how right they were.

    OR: Tommy is a shapeshifter, and gets caught as a dog. He doesn't want the help, and neither does a Blind Wilbur, but it looks like neither of them are getting out of this one... not that they really want to.

    Oh fuck. He’s coming back. Tommy curls up so none of his important organs are accessible, the guy has only strangled him up till now, but there was blood on the tarp, so maybe he likes to stab too. Tommy doesn’t want to be stabbed anywhere important.

    Techno just sits on the other end of the couch and bounces his leg, mostly just looking at the fire, but occasionally glancing at Tommy.

    “So, uh, you do anything interesting in school today?” he asks, Tommy would laugh at his awkwardness if he wasn’t so confused.

    “I failed a math test,” he says. God he wishes he could go back to that being his biggest problem.
