As Ruan Mei speaks with the Divination Commission, Yukong stands shoulder-to-shoulder with a criminal, and it’s strange, because Jingliu is a legend in many ways. A compelling hero in many older tales, but a poignant villain written into the lines of the universe’s grander tales in the modern day.
And with all that being said, the Jingliu beside her seems to simmer beneath the surface, flares of emotion kept on a tight leash.
A tighter leash than Ruan Mei seemed intent on keeping on Jingliu.
