But soon enough, that all changes. He suddenly meets new people that want to take his father down. They act like his father is a cruel tyrant- which is the complete opposite of what he actually is, so he does not believe them. But after a while, his mind... might just change. They are not like what he thought they would be.
As for Makoto, he has to deal with the fact that he's a wizard that can barely cast any spells, loves a girl who has anything but romance on her mind, wants to protect his little sister, and that everything is changing, just because they kidnapped a prince. He also has no idea if these changes are for the better or for the worse.

Because this time around, Byakuya was... different- he was more cruel and manipulative. He was more like Junko. So, when Junko told him about the idea of something akin to the killing game, he loved it. He even made some slight changes to it, changes which would make the game much more entertaining. For him, at least. For his classmates... anything but.
But how would this change things? Who will die this time? Who will survive instead? And will Byakuya ever change? Or will he stay this cruel?

Summary
Hajime wakes up, and that’s the only memory he has.
Trapped on an island with a handful strangers, Hajime tries to find his place in the group as they struggle with the reality that not only are they trapped here until further notice, but they’ve developed some… strange mutations during their time spent comatose.
His mission for answers about his own past leads to secrets that were better left undiscovered, and puts the lives of all his new friends in danger. The world is a lot different than they remember it, there may be more to the gaps in their memory than they originally thought.

Byakuya can't even blink before Junko hops off her seat, her hands clasped behind her back as she invades his personal space, maintaining that stifling eye contact that he so badly wants to escape from. As she speaks, as she continues in that desolate tone so unlike her usual spunk, he realizes it.
"It makes me feel something. Otherwise, it's all boredom, all insufferable, unbearable boredom. I'd rather die thrilled to the bone than live feeling empty, wouldn't you?"
Byakuya realizes that Junko isn't human; just something wearing the mask of one.
