“Sure, lemme at it. But be careful, Specs, maybe I’ll come for your job.” Stan joked behind him, voice too close to his ear. Fiddleford shifted, getting ready to step up and out of the way, before Stan reached around his waist to grab the discarded iron from the floor, narrowly missing his hip. Fidd froze, stuck in position as the larger man adjusted behind him and leaned closer, angling his body so he could watch over his shoulder. Stan’s front hovered just an inch away from his back, both arms almost brushing his waist as he focused on the task in front of him, hot breath practically dancing along Fidd’s neck.
“Like this, yeah?” Stan’s voice came like a rumble, quiet and deep, vibrating in the small space between the two.

Summary
To be a Bearer was a rare, precious thing. An expression of Yavanna’s goodwill to her children and a sign of great prosperity. Truly, to be so careless as to obviously sleep with a dwarf – and heaven knew if it had only been with one of them, some of the older folks snickered over their steaming teacups – yes, Bag End would stand empty before long. It would have the entire Shire talking until after Yuletide; talking amongst themselves, of course, among the adults and the worried folks. Not to Mad Baggins. Never to disgraced, shamed Master Baggins who did not step in front of his door until it was to leave, one child on his left arm, one swelling under his dwarven tunic. But the dwarves had to return from Ered Luin eventually. By the time King Thorin of the Lonely Mountain returned with his Queen Sister Dís in tow, Bag End was gathering dust. Past the shock and through the fear, accompanied by what-ifs and the dangers of the road, a chase for the heavily pregnant Bilbo Baggins ensued who was oddly determined to make it to Erebor in time.
