Summary
~Perhaps they were meant for each other. It was written in the stars—stars meant to burn out in their all at once powerful surge. Stars meant to fall. Bright, burning and then gone. And in its sudden demise, no one would even remember it was once there, lost in the infinity of severed constellations.
That was the way of the universe. That was the way it had to be.~
Alternatively: Gwen Stacy is doomed but Miles Morales’ love might save her.

Summary
~Miles smiled gleefully at Peter B. like one would a good friend, warmness beaming from round cheeks—friendliness and goodness radiating from him as if he personally hung the sun in the sky every morning for the birds to sing to, the sunflowers to turn their head to. Maybe he was that generous—selflessly sharing his light, asking for nothing in return. Maybe he was a nice kid—boy— man? Or maybe Gwen was reading way too much into something as simple as a smile.~
Alternatively: Gwen works at a flower shop with Miles Morales. While navigating a deep seated grief after a misguided decision ends the life of her best friend, and impairs an already shoddy relationship with her dad, she is faced with an unlikely friendship that is ready to take her by the hand--if she can bring herself to let him in.

Summary
Joel had been her twentieth placement in her short fourteen years. She could not recall what any of her foster homes looked like, but she knew what a house needed to be a house. Usually, only four walls and a roof. The rest: useless technicalities.
But Joel’s apartment strayed from familiarity. No locks on anything or keypads to restrict her access. Nothing that would suggest Joel was capable of ostracizing her in this small space that seemed to be at her disposal.((Ellie, a troubled foster kid is thrust into a temporary emergency placement with Joel, a first time, very reluctant foster parent. What could possibly go wrong? (Answer: a lot))

Summary
Things were going great.
Or as great as Hell could be during a goddamn Extermination, but at least the sinners could fight back now that they have discovered Angels weren’t as indestructible as they had thought for the past ten thousands years. But it was not enough. Soon, Adam and his army of Exorcists would overwhelm them, even with his daughter… and that Radio bastard on the front line.
So Lucifer Morningstar waited, biding his time until one of those winged idiots slipped and killed a hellborn, thus rendering the treaty he had made with Heaven voided. And everything would be fine… or so he had thought.
There was nothing in creation that could prepare Lucifer for the all-too-familiar punch from his twin brother.
Or: Michael showed up in the Final Battle, and things went downhill from there.

Summary
In no particular order whatsoever, Lucifer is given a strange bag by his recently-back-on-talking-terms brothers, plagued by weird dreams that keeps him up every night, and about to face the hellscape (hah, get it?) that is Heaven after ten thousand odd years of being barred from entering the pearly gates.
When a string of odd circumstances inevitably leads him on a detective hunt through Heaven, Lucifer must not only deal with the fallout of his past mistakes, but also face long-forgotten rivals as well as countless buried truths of the past regarding…well, everything. It is no easy task, but since when has his life ever been easy, anyway?
Oh, and there is also the rather inconvenient fact that the odds of Heaven and Hell breaking into all-out war might have just reached an all time high for the first time since Creation happened. He’d really have to hurry up if he didn’t want all of God’s creations to end up killing each other because of an ill-conceived plot.

Summary
Charlie doesn’t remember the first time her father sang to her. The songs have just always been there, curling in the air like smoke and wrapping themselves around Charlie like a well-worn scarf. Familiar lullabies carried on her father's rich voice, melodies she's always been able to cash in on whenever she needed them.
Five times in Charlie's life where she needs her father, from infancy to war, and five times Lucifer sings for her.

Summary
“This is clearly what makes you an angel,” she observes, voice low. It’s almost below a murmur, but they’re so close that Lilith’s voice is the only sound for miles. “Your wings. They’re unlike anything I’ve ever seen.”
A golden blush deepens and begins to travel down his neck. If the First Woman sees it, she doesn’t acknowledge it. “Even that of the birds?” He asks. Is he that desperate for praise? Shouldn’t angels be the ones praising all that is good? This foreign practice is so wonderful that he’s afraid of when it will cease.
Lilith smiles at him and squeezes the hand wrapped in his. “The birds cannot compare to you,” she says, so genuine it’s saccharine to the taste. “They’re small. Inconsequential. You, my Morningstar, are an enigma.”
