  Summary

  Scott opens his eyes.

  His perfectly made bed stares from under him, 20 feet away. His dog, who is stationed by his bedside table, stares up at him, confused.

  Scott feels the rope tied around his wrists and ankles rubbing at his skin, looped around the beams holding his roof up.

  He looks towards the open window, eyeing it suspiciously.
