Summary
It takes until Luke is hovering over Percy, sword poised to kill him, for Annabeth to realize what's happening.
Annabeth has always been good at analysis. At noticing what others don't, at seeing little fragments of a puzzle and piecing them together. It's how she's won multiple games of capture the flag, it's how she became Athena's camp counselor at ten years old. It's how she's stayed alive for this long.
She sees Luke, in her head, standing across from her and teaching her how to swordfight. She sees him smile when she disarms him, full of pride.
She sees him now. Sword drawn, pointing upwards after deflecting her dagger. It glints with silver. Steel. Not celestial bronze. She can't quite make herself accept what she knows that means.
"...Annabeth?" She barely hears him through the blood rushing in her ears.
"I...heard...everything," she says. The how could you? she wishes she could ask stays stuck in her throat.
"You're my little sister."
She never saw any of this coming.

“Told you I’d win.”
“Shut the fuck up,” Kageyama grumbles. Hinata laughs as Kageyama slumps down in the seat beside him, face visibly scrunched up in pain.
“There, there,” Hinata says, patting Kageyama on the head. He jerks his hand away just before Kageyama can slap at it, laughing at the predictability of his friend. His cheeks hurt from smiling; he doesn’t think he’s felt this light in ages.
Homesickness came and went, while he was away. There were times he was almost drowning in it - the day he met Oikawa just being one of many. And then there were the days, after he met Heitor and Nice and became closer to Pedro, where he forgot, for a moment, that he was thousands of miles from home. He was happy there. He misses the friends he made there, and he’ll never regret those two years. But being back here, teasing Kageyama and snapping retorts at Tsukishima’s comments and hearing Yamaguchi’s laughter and matching Yachi’s smiles with his own-
He’s home.

Steven must be hallucinating. There’s no reason he would be hearing drums right now. But Charles pauses, also seeming confused, and then Straw Hat starts glowing, white smoke billowing around him and hair bleeding white, and oh this is what the picture in his bounty poster came from-
Straw Hat laughs, bright bright bright, bright like the sun, and says, “Now I can have fun without breaking anything!” He then proceeds to grab Charles, swinging him around his head one, two, three times before throwing him directly at the wall, where- he bounces? He bounces back? Steven actually feels his eyes widen in shock- okay, what the hell, they just popped out of his face. He saw his eyes floating in front of him for a second like this is a cartoon- what the fuck is happening?!
Scratch earlier, this has to be what a stroke feels like.

Luffy reaches up and cups Ace’s face in his hand. Ace lets out a choked sound, reaching up and pressing it closer. This isn’t- this isn’t how it was supposed to go. Luffy wasn’t supposed to-
Luffy lets out one last breath. His hand slips from Ace’s face. His head falls back limply, a small smile on his face.
And something in Ace shatters.

A smile spreads across Luffy’s face, and it’s almost unnatural with how wide it is. Ace has seen Luffy smile a million times, but- none have looked like this.
And- against Ace’s wildest hopes-
Luffy’s eyes shoot open.

Summary
The voices in her head are, for once, painfully silent as Jinx slides into the embrace of her father, lets claws wrap her in the semblance of a hug – claws tear into her skin, teeth come gnashing towards her head, this beast wants her dead – and smiles, a single tear slipping down her cheek.
"Big fat hero," she repeats, and she tilts her gun upwards, finger squeezing the trigger as her eyes slip close.
Everything glitches, and her vision whites out.
The last thing she hears, as the world around her dissipates, is the pained cry of her own name.

Summary
In the reflection of the puddle is the boy that’s too young to be a topside cashier he briefly interacted with at the parts shop, now following Jayce from above. The kid didn't want be noticed, evident when he hurriedly scrambles back on the roof, out of view of the puddle’s reflection.
Jayce makes a loud show of marching to the building the kid is on, and sets his box full of illegal parts down with a clatter. “Did I not give you enough to eat already, kiddo?”
Or: Jayce notices when Ekko is tailing him back to his apartment in episode one. This changes everything.

Summary

She’s sure the time-looper she and Ekko invented will win first prize at the Innovators Competition. And she might, finally, get what everyone’s been saying about getting out into the world and using her potential.
Then, her dead sister shows up at her door.
