    Summary

Jaskier gets jumped by a bunch of bandits, who happen to be so dumb as to stab him with an ancient artifact. When he wakes up, the bandits are slaughtered, and Jaskier has a new hunger. He decides he can't and won't live like this, and searches out a witcher to kill him when he's unsuccessful himself. Of course......he finds Geralt, or does Geralt find him?

    ---000---
When Jaskier wakes up, the light is uncommonly bright to his eyes, and he has to squint against it. He’s not sure he remembers going to sleep the previous night, and briefly accuses himself of gulping down the bottle of Toussainti wine he’d filched from the inn, leaving a few crowns in its place.

He rubs his hands over his face, and realises that as he does so, the strange metallic scent that hangs in the air gets stronger. When he pulls his hands away to look at his palms, he stiffens. There are red stains on the skin, some of it dried and flaking in the creases.

    It’s very definitely not wine.

    Summary

When Jaskier is abducted from the merchant vessel he'd chartered to take him to his first semester at Oxenfurt Academy, taken by pirates of the cruelest nature, he was sure things couldn't possibly get any worse.

Three and a half months later, when he's abducted from that pirate ship by another group of pirates, he realizes just how wrong he was about things not being able to get worse.
Because these second pirates are witchers—part of the notoriously deadly crew led by the Butcher of Blaviken.

But witchers or not, Jaskier is determined to survive. He's destined for a future as a Bard of incredible fame and renown, after all. No matter what new horrors they throw at him, he won't go down easy.

I was inspired by The Wild Waves, by phiaura.
I was like, hot damn I love this story. And then I got inspired to do something similar, but with more angst, and things just kinda spiraled from there.

“I understand, master Witcher. But please, just consider it. We cannot pay the full price, not in coin. I’ll bring him so you can take a look. Please.”
    Him?
The alderman was out of the room before Geralt could reply, coming back a few minutes later with a sobbing beta woman and-
    A male omega.

Alternatively: Reluctantly, Geralt receives an omega as payment for a contract. He didn’t really think this through.

    Summary

Alastor can admit, in the silence of his own head as he walks away from the first official overlord meeting since the Extermination Day that Wasn’t, that Charlie MIGHT have been right. He probably should have stayed home.

Not that he’d tell the girl that under pain of torture - that kind of hand-wringing and fretting wasn’t the sort of thing that should be encouraged in anyone, least of all the Princess of Hell.

“Al, I just have such a bad feeling -”

“Of course you do, darling - it’s a meeting of the overlords of Hell. By definition, no good can come of it”

“What if they” - she made an inarticulate gesture that reminded him painfully of her father - who was, by the way, sitting across the parlor from them, pretending to sketch, pretending NOT to listen, even though Alastor saw him roll his eyes far too often for a man sketching rubber ducks. “What if it’s some kind of -”

“Charlie, dear, the overlords of Hell are like starving wild dogs.” He gave her a pat on the head in sharp contrast to his words and then permitted it when she angrily swatted his hand away. “It’s always at least BORDERING on a trap. I intend to go anyway.”
