Summary
In 2013, a grief-maddened programmer of a revolutionary software called neuro-spiritu code used it to create a Virus in the image of Herobrine and sent it into the game code for Minecraft, targeting the at-time influential Player for the Avatar SkythekidRS in hopes of taking control of him and his voice to unleash destruction upon the world in an event called The Convergence. The defeat of it resulted in Herobrine"s "destruction".
Several years after The Convergence failed, the Herobrine Virus makes its move to revive itself in the world of Minecraftia. Without access to His original host, a new one is selected to be Herobrine"s new body: a Speed Class Avatar who goes by the name Dream.

Summary
“That’s not fair,” Bad protests. Dream raises an eyebrow at him and jerks his tied hands in emphasis, clearly saying that none of this is fair.
“Look, you keep running! Who runs if they’re not guilty?” Bad challenges, staring him down with obvious distrust from the generous distance of exactly five feet. It’s fair, as much as Dream hates to admit it; it’s not like he’s been the most honest hostage in the past, with all of his escaping and running and framing himself for his own murder, apparently.
“Only the good die young, and only the guilty run,” Technoblade chimes in, holding his own potato and sitting in the snow like it’s not cold at all.
A hot flash of irritation burns through him.
“Someone being chased?” he counters sarcastically, jerking his tied wrists up again to wave them in front of the group. Sapnap laughs so hard that he almost chokes on his potato, but it dies off when Dream gives him an icy stare.
Or: Dream is having a hard time, and the hunter just want to adopt him like a stray puppy that bites you at every opportunity.

Wilbur rolls his eyes. “I’m just patching you up out of some misplaced sense of guilt or nostalgia or whatever; after this, you can try and arrest me again as much as you want-”
“Nostalgia?” Tommy interrupts. He squints at the figure, all confusing tangents and cynical jokes, the bird still perched on his head. “What, do I know you or something?”
Wilbur’s face darkens. He reaches out a hand, rubbing absently at a long slash going through his trench coat, a tear in the seams of it all. Tommy stills.
“No,” the villain finally mutters with a brittle laugh. “No, you don’t.”
…Or: Superhero AU in which Wilbur, upon waking up in an alternate universe, accidentally becomes a villain. Maybe not a very good one, though - he remains insanely, outrageously protective over the very heroes (and vigilante) hunting him down.

And he definitely didn’t expect to become friends with a child and a prison gang while serving his timeOr
“Your sentence will be much lighter if you plead guilty,”
Wilbur looked back up at whats-her-face, doing his best not to make a rude face at her. His mind was racing, he had to convince her that it couldn"t have been him in that warehouse. But how the hell was he supposed to act innocent while being accused of murder?
After he didn’t respond she continued, “with that circulating in your head, I’m going to ask you one last time, what were you doing on March 28th?”
He sighed inwardly. “I already told you, I was fucking eating Oreos!”
Or
Wilbur and Techno have identical DNA, because cloning, and Wilbur gets arrested because Techno got his blood on a crime scene. Chaos ensues.
