Summary
When Sylvain laid eyes on the prince—sweet, kind Dimitri, the boy he'd known since he was in diapers and the man he'd sworn to protect—tearing into imperial soldiers and laughing, he should have been terrified. He should have been shocked at the very least, and confused and scared for his old friend's sanity. But even as Felix froze in fear and dread next to him, watching their friend fall apart in front of them, all Sylvain could feel was joy.
He finally understood. Dimitri was just like him.

Summary
The old Blaiddyd house has been uninhabited for ten years, ever since Lambert died. If it seems to have fallen into greater disrepair than seems likely in that time, nobody’s been paying enough attention to notice. When Sylvain comes looking for refuge from his shitty job and shittier father, keeping Dimitri company in his gigantic old house seems like a good idea. But there are things lurking in the corners that neither of them expect.
A story about ghosts both literal and metaphorical, recovery, and the slow process of putting yourself back together.

It is a belief Dimitri took to heart every since he read the teachings of Seiros as a child. The color of his wings dictated every moment of his life. It prevented him from spending too much time outside or with others. It kept his cloak on his back and away from chapels and the like for most of his life. He was content with it; all he had to do was remove his wings before coming of age and then he would be able to live his life like an ordinary human being. Until then, he was unworthy of the pleasures of life. He must complete his duty before anything else.
Then, he met Claude.
And suddenly, the monochrome of his everyday was filled with color. Now, he had a choice: live life the way he used to, always looking down or look before him and chase the happiness he felt he never deserved.
