Summary
This is a collection of drabbles and oneshots. I have so many detailed headcanons that often I feel too overwhelmed to make them into multichapter fics, but I've found that writing them as single scenes is a lot easier. A big thanks to everyone who sent me prompts!
I will write a brief introduction to each drabble with some background for my headcanons regarding that time/setting/characters. As always, history notes can be found at the bottom. Hope you all enjoy!

Summary
[Winter 1949, Moscow]
Cold wind would turn one’s bones to shattered glass if care was not taken. Cold wind slammed against the side of the house; howling, ravenous, closer to Kiku’s tales of otherworldly marauding hordes than a simple act of the wild. Then again, Tolys thought as he watched the heavy curtains tremble, those were not mutually exclusive.
After scraping the gallows by the skin of his teeth, Gilbert is taken into Ivan's custody to be rehabilitated in the eyes of their kind. This disruption shakes up the carefully maintained rules Tolys has survived by for three centuries. Escaping this rat race will mean different things to all of them, the bigger challenge will be reconciling that alongside their relationships with one another.
All roads lead to Rome.

Summary
"We used to be superpowers," Gilbert said wistfully. "Not many nations can say that. I just...I miss it sometimes, you know? Things were simpler then." That was the thing with being immortal – the catch. You could always remember a time that was far better than the current one. But even memories were subject to fault.

1869. After a failed part in a failed rebellion, Lithuanian noble Tauras Laurinaitis fled his homeland rather than risk being sent to Siberia. Guilt-ridden, he is determined to keep the memory of his country alive the only way he can: printing and smuggling books in a language now outlawed by the Russian Empire. But what happens when he catches the eye of a certain Prussian gendarme? Will Tauras be able to keep his smuggling, and his past, a secret?

Summary
Or, Martin gets accustomed to reciprocation.
---
Jon speaks again. "Is there anything I can do?"
Two-plus decades of self-abnegation bubble up in Martin's throat, threatening to spill over, to reassure Jon that everything's okay, not to worry, Martin's just fine. But the words die on his tongue. Maybe there was a thread of compulsion in Jon's question. Maybe it's the after-effects of that glorious, already-fading moment of SIGHT, when all the fog had gone out of Martin's head for the first time in months and Jon had stood before him, real and true and unafraid. Or maybe it's nothing supernatural at all. Maybe it's just ordinary human trust.
